Meet The Founders
Hey, we are Marcus, Antonia and Rory. Antonia and Rory are brother and sister and Marcus married their sister, which made him family. Between us we have seven kids, and we are on a mission to get them, and yours, talking again.
We grew up with a house phone and have fond memories of racing home from school to call a friend. Stretching the cord round the corner for a bit of privacy. The homework SOS call. A proper catch-up with Grandma. Whole summers, planned one call at a time.
Fast forward to today and we are not ready to hand our kids a smartphone. Not yet and maybe not for a while. But we still want them to have what we had - the freedom to pick up the phone and talk.
A phone should open up their world, not consume it.
So we set ourselves a simple mission - get kids talking again. We wanted a phone that parents and kids would be proud of in equal measure, so we enlisted ex-Dyson designer Tom Parsons to help us make something special. Something that looks great and you are proud to have in your home.
YAPA is the home phone built specially for kids. No smart-screens. No texts. No algorithms. Just the freedom to talk.
Childhood happens out loud. Pick up the phone.
The YAPA DNA
Let’s have a look under the hood:
Connection. It’s made for one thing - talking to the people who matter. No feeds, no notifications, no distractions.
Nostalgia. The curly cord. The excitement of picking up the handset. Everything we loved about the home phone, brought back for a new generation.
Innovation. Beautiful in it's design. It looks retro but runs on modern tech. It connects to Wi-Fi, and you control it from the parental YAPA app.
Simplicity. Pick up. Dial. Talk.
And because it should never feel childish, we designed YAPA to look as good in your kitchen as it does in their bedroom. A phone that parents and kids are proud of in equal measure.
